PPP Leads Unofficial GB Elections 2026 Results With 10 Seats

Unofficial GB Elections 2026 results showed the Pakistan Peoples Party leading with 10 seats, Pakistan Muslim League with 6 as counting continued. The GB Elections 2026 have been closely watched by many observers.

Election authorities have not yet announced final official results for the GB Elections 2026.

Polling for 24 Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly seats ended at 5 pm on Sunday after voting continued through the day. More than 400 candidates contested the polls, including 403 contenders for the 24 seats.

According to unofficial results received from 17 constituencies, the Pakistan Peoples Party had secured 10 seats. Independent candidates had won six seats, while the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen had each secured one seat, making the GB Elections 2026 especially competitive throughout the region.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz candidate Abdul Jahan won GB-20 Ghizer. Abdul Jahan secured 6,917 votes in GB-20, according to unconfirmed and unofficial results. Pakistan Peoples Party candidate Nazir Ahmed finished second with 6,758 votes

In GB-19 Ghizer-I, PPP candidate Syed Jalal Shah won with 9,613 votes, according to complete unofficial results. Independent candidate Nawaz Naji finished second with 8,210 votes, while PML-N candidate Zafar Muhammad Shad Makhail secured 6,545 votes.

In GB-9 Skardu-III, PPP candidate Fida Nashad won after securing 6,314 votes from all 54 polling stations. Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party candidate Wazir Muhammad Saleem finished second with 6,106 votes.

In GBLA-8 Skardu-II, Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen candidate Kazim Meesam won with 10,574 votes from all 70 polling stations. PPP candidate Syed Muhammad Ali Shah finished second with 10,213 votes.

Unofficial and unconfirmed results continued to come in after a closely contested election across Gilgit-Baltistan, reflecting the ongoing interest in the GB Elections 2026.
