CARDIFF: Former heavyweight champions Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua will meet at Principality Stadium on December 11. Netflix will stream their first professional fight globally.
Subscribers can watch the event without an additional pay-per-view charge. Saudi boxing promoter Turki Alalshikh confirmed the matchup on Thursday after years of unsuccessful negotiations.
“The time for talking is over,” Alalshikh wrote on X.
New York’s Madison Square Garden had emerged as a possible venue during negotiations. Joshua and his promoter, Eddie Hearn, pressed for the contest to stay in Britain.
Both boxers won their July preparation bouts, although Joshua had to recover from two first-round knockdowns against Albania’s Kristian Prenga. He stopped Prenga in the second round.
Fury defeated Mariusz Wach in Thailand with a seventh-round stoppage.
An earlier attempt to arrange a fight for all the major heavyweight titles collapsed in 2021 despite signed contracts. An arbitration ruling required Fury to face Deontay Wilder for a third time.

Neither British boxer currently holds a world title. Both have lost twice to Oleksandr Usyk, while Joshua also suffered a defeat against Daniel Dubois in 2024. Netflix has scheduled a press conference with the fighters for September 30.
