PATTAYA, Thailand: Tyson Fury stopped Wach after seven rounds on Friday, July 24, moving closer to a long-awaited heavyweight showdown with fellow British boxer Anthony Joshua.
Mariusz Wach’s corner withdrew the 46-year-old Polish fighter before the eighth round at Max Muay Thai Stadium after Fury controlled the contest and applied sustained pressure.
Fury switched between orthodox and southpaw stances, worked behind his jab and landed a sequence of uppercuts during the fifth round. The former world heavyweight champion weighed 265 pounds for the non-title bout.

The result gave the 37-year-old his second victory of 2026, following his April points win over Arslanbek Makhmudov at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.
