Saudi Arabia’s low-cost airline, flyadeal, has officially launched its flight operations to Lahore, marking another step in its expansion into the Pakistani market. The new twice-weekly service increases the carrier’s total capacity between the two countries to 18 scheduled flights per week.
Flyadeal began its operations in Pakistan in February 2025, with its inaugural flight landing in Karachi. The airline now connects Saudi Arabia with five major Pakistani cities: Karachi, Islamabad, Peshawar, Sialkot, and the newly added Lahore.
The first flyadeal flight to Lahore was greeted with a traditional water salute upon arrival. A spokesperson for Aviation Security, Shahid Qadir, stated that the new direct travel option provides more convenience for passengers.

He also emphasised that the entry of another international carrier into the Pakistani market is positive for the economy, as it creates new employment opportunities within the aviation sector.
Flyadeal’s expansion strengthens the air links between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has already granted the airline all necessary permissions to operate in Pakistani airspace.
They join other Saudi carriers, including Saudi Arabian Airlines and Flynas, which already maintain regular weekly flights to various destinations in Pakistan, offering travellers a wider range of choices and competitive fares.
