MULTAN: The Federal Investigation Agency offloaded Saira Naheed at Multan International Airport on Thursday after officers suspected she planned an irregular journey to Italy through Türkiye, an agency spokesperson said.
Naheed was travelling to Türkiye on a visit visa when immigration officials stopped her during clearance. Officers considered her travel plan suspicious.
The FIA said initial questioning indicated that she intended to continue to Italy through illegal channels.
Investigators said Naheed had contacted a Faisalabad-based agent who promised to arrange the journey in exchange for payment.
The agent allegedly received Rs1 million in advance. Naheed was expected to pay the remaining amount after reaching Italy, according to investigators.

Members of the alleged network planned to receive her in Türkiye and arrange the irregular border crossing, the FIA spokesperson said.
Officials transferred Naheed to the FIA’s Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Multan for further inquiry. The agency said teams were trying to identify and arrest the agent and other alleged members of the network.
The FIA did not disclose whether it had registered a criminal case or identified the Faisalabad-based agent.
