The Ministry of Interior has decided not to suspend mobile phone service in any part of the country on occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Sources privy to such information disclosed that the ministry was of the view that suspension of cell phone service merely adds to the miseries of the people.
Besides it is also not a solution to suspend mobile services wholesale, sources added citing the interior ministry stance. It is learnt that the Sindh government had requested the federal government to suspend mobile phone service in parts of the province in view of security threats, however the federal government rejected the proposal.
