Actor Famke Janssen said Marvel “made a mistake” by not bringing her back as Jean Grey in “Avengers: Doomsday.”

The 61-year-old actor made the comments during a recent event interview. She said the character still means a lot to fans and added that Marvel’s decision surprised her.

Janssen first played Jean Grey in “X-Men” in 2000. She later returned for several sequels and became one of the franchise’s best-known stars.
