Meta’s Facebook has updated its monetisation system, allowing some pages and accounts to access revenue tools with 300,000 views in 28 days.
The reported change could benefit content creators worldwide, including those in Pakistan. It may help smaller creators who struggled with older requirements linked to followers, watch time and performance metrics.
Digital media experts said the new target is more attainable for creators who regularly post videos, reels and engaging short-form content. They said that short, strong videos could help creators reach their target audience faster.
The unified content monetisation system may let emerging creators bypass legacy hurdles of 10,000 followers and 600,000 watch minutes. The streamlined approach could let a viral short or reel unlock a more consistent revenue stream.
