Taylor Swift’s record-breaking run atop the Global Spotify chart has come to an end after 78 consecutive days, with the top position now claimed by Djo.
Djo, the music project of actor and musician Joe Keery, surged back to No. 1 following renewed interest in his track End of Beginning. The rise coincides with the conclusion of Stranger Things, which helped fuel fresh momentum for the song.
Originally released in 2022, End of Beginning enjoyed early chart success before gaining a second wave of popularity through TikTok, where it went viral. That resurgence has now pushed the track back to the top of the Spotify Global chart.
Despite Swift’s fans celebrating her lengthy reign, the pop icon herself has expressed admiration for Djo’s work. Keery previously revealed that Swift praised End of Beginning during a chance meeting at a New York recording studio.

Speaking on The Spout podcast in 2024, Keery said he was surprised to learn that Swift knew the song. He recalled her telling him, “Hey, I really love that track of yours, End of Beginning.”
Keery admitted he was stunned and asked how she discovered it. He later reflected that the moment made sense, noting Swift’s reputation as a passionate music fan who actively explores new releases across genres.
