Rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs injured his head on an upper bunk at his New Jersey prison, an unnamed source told Page Six in an article published on Tuesday.
The source said the 56-year-old Bad Boy Records founder is recovering after the incident. His representative is still checking the circumstances surrounding the reported medical emergency.
“Sean’s health and well-being are our immediate concern,” the representative said.
The statement acknowledged the health reports but did not confirm the bunk-bed explanation. Combs’ team thanked people who had contacted them with support.
Prison sources told TMZ that Combs left the Federal Correctional Institution at Fort Dix for medical treatment early on October 10. They said he was conscious and speaking when he returned before sunrise.
Combs is serving a 50-month prison sentence following his July 2025 conviction on two counts of transportation for prostitution. Jurors acquitted him of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking.
He has repeatedly denied wrongdoing.
Separately, four men who had shared his prison unit told NBC News that other inmates cooked and cleaned for him. They alleged that he had access to premium liquor and an unauthorised cellphone.
His representative disputed that portrayal and maintained that Combs was serving his sentence within prison rules. The representative said he was awaiting a court decision on his appeal.

A Federal Bureau of Prisons spokesperson declined to discuss his conditions of confinement, citing privacy and security concerns.
Earlier coverage described disciplinary allegations involving fights and unauthorised phone use, alongside a reported return to solitary confinement. Those accounts concern separate prison incidents and do not establish how he sustained the head injury.
His reported projected release date moved from January 21, 2028, to March 2, 2028
