Sudheer, the victim of a highly publicised assault in Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA), pardoned businessman Salman Farooqi during a hearing at the South Judicial Magistrate’s Court.
The DHA assault case, which generated outrage after a viral video, saw Sudheer drop the charges against Farooqi, marking a significant resolution to the situation.
Sudheer was unaware of the court summons until his lawyer informed him. He identified Farooqi but expressed no desire to pursue legal action, stating, “I have forgiven the accused.” When asked about coercion regarding his decision, he confirmed it was voluntary and raised no objections to the court’s ruling. The court recorded his statement, noting his intent to end the case.
