On June 1, 2025, a disturbing video surfaced on social media showing Salman Farooqi, reportedly the CEO of Bionic Films, brutally assaulting a young man in Karachi’s Ittehad Town, DHA area.

The video of the Salman Farooqi assault has sparked widespread public outrage, as the victim’s sister can be seen pleading for mercy.

Viral footage shows Farooqi attacking a youth, believed to be a motorcyclist, after a near-collision on Khayaban-e-Ittehad in Phase 6 of DHA. In the video, the victim’s sister can be seen pleading with Farooqi to stop, but he and his guard continue the assault.

SSP Karachi South, Mahzoor Ali, confirmed that the police became aware of the incident through social media, although no formal complaint has been filed yet. Authorities have raided Farooqi’s locked office and are searching for the victim to assist in the investigation of the Ittehad Town incident.

The video of the Karachi DHA assault has sparked widespread demands for justice on social media, with users advocating for strict measures against the abuse of power and using hashtags like #NoToViolence. PML-N leader Fahad Shafiq condemned the incident and called for accountability. The police are conducting raids to apprehend Farooqi, who allegedly claimed to be a government officer during the attack. The public outrage in Pakistan highlights concerns about influential figures evading justice.
