Lahore, Punjab: The Punjab government has shifted the renewal of regular driving licences to the Dastak App. This now allows citizens across the Punjab province to renew licences from home.
Officials said applicants can now enter personal details, upload documents and pay the renewal fee online. They can do this without visiting a licensing centre.
The app also allows users to track the delivery status of their renewed licence. Applicants can check whether a request remains under review, has been approved or has been dispatched.
Applicants must upload a recent passport-size photograph. They also need to upload front and back images of their original Computerised National Identity Card. In addition, front and back copies of their driving licence are required.
A medical certificate from a government-registered doctor remains mandatory for applicants aged 50 or older. Applicants also need an active mobile number and email address.
To apply, users must download the Dastak App from the Play Store or App Store. They must then create an account using their name, CNIC and mobile number. Afterward, they must select “Driving Licence Services” and choose “Regular Driving Licence Renewal.”

After entering the licence number, CNIC, date of birth and category, the system generates a PSID number. Applicants can use it to pay the government fee through mobile banking, internet banking or ATM services.
Traffic Police and Dastak officials advised citizens to apply before the licence expiry. They said late renewal penalties would be added automatically based on the expiry period.
Officials said applications may face delays if users upload blurred CNIC or licence images or enter incorrect details. There may also be delays if users skip the final submission after payment or fail to upload a required medical certificate.
