CASCAIS: Cristiano Ronaldo’s wedding to Georgina Rodríguez was held in a private civil ceremony in Cascais, Portugal, on Tuesday, August 11, after nearly 10 years together.
The coastal town lies near Lisbon. Ronaldo’s public relations team said their five children attended the intimate ceremony, according to the Associated Press.
The couple confirmed the marriage through a joint Instagram post. The image showed their hands wearing simple gold wedding bands alongside the caption “C❤️G.”
Rodríguez, 32, announced their engagement exactly one year earlier on August 11, 2025. She shared a photograph of her diamond engagement ring at the time.
Ronaldo and Rodríguez met in Madrid in 2016 when she worked at a Gucci store. They made their first major public appearance together at the Best FIFA Football Awards in January 2017.
The couple have two daughters together, Alana and Bella. Their family also includes Ronaldo’s eldest son, Cristiano Jr., and twins Eva Maria and Mateo.
The marriage ended years of speculation about their relationship status. Ronaldo referred to Rodríguez as his “wife” in a promotional video in July 2024, though his representative did not confirm a marriage at the time.
