FUNCHAL, Portugal: The Ronaldo-Georgina wedding is reportedly scheduled for Aug. 8 at Funchal Cathedral in Madeira, although the couple has not confirmed the date or venue.
British newspaper The Sun reported that Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez planned to hold their religious ceremony at the historic cathedral.
The report identified the five-star Savoy Palace in Funchal as the expected reception venue. An unnamed source said hotel guests had learned that two floors and several bar areas would close on Friday and Saturday.
Neither Ronaldo nor Rodríguez has publicly announced an Aug. 8 ceremony. Gulf News also described the arrangements as unconfirmed media reports.
Rodríguez announced their engagement on Instagram on Aug. 11, 2025. She posted a photograph of the couple holding hands, with her engagement ring on display.
