Karachi: Citizen Police and Liaison Committee (CPLC) chief Ahmed Chinoy has submitted his resignation to Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad on Tuesday.
According to sources, Chinoy, who served as the CPLC chief for four years was asked to resign by the governor, who is the also Patron-in-Chief of CPLC. The new head of the CPLC will be appointed within a week.
While talking to local news channels, Chinoy dismissed the reports that he was asked resign and said “I have tendered my resignation voluntarily,”
In early this year, Rangers had raided the residence of Ahmed Chinoy after being accused of mishandling a kidnapping for ransom case.
