Beijing, China: China will provide humanitarian aid to Iran and Lebanon to support recovery and reconstruction after recent wars, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said, according to Al Jazeera.
Lin told reporters in Beijing that China was “deeply saddened” by the humanitarian disaster in the two countries.
He said Beijing decided to offer aid after considering the “real situation” in Iran and Lebanon.
The assistance will support people affected by the conflicts in recovery and reconstruction, Lin said.
He added that the aid would also help improve economic conditions and livelihoods in the two countries.

The size, delivery schedule or implementing agencies for the Chinese aid package have not been specified by the Chinese Ministry.
