As summer approaches, celebrities and influencers take advantage of the warm weather to showcase their figures in the latest swimwear trend: nanokinis.
These ultra-tiny bikinis, which barely cover the wearer’s intimate areas, have become increasingly popular as they push the boundaries of censorship on social media platforms.
The nanokini craze was first popularized by British singer Dua Lipa, and since then, influencers and celebrities worldwide have embraced the trend, making it a full fashion statement in 2023. Among the stars, sporting nanokinis are Mexican celebrities Belinda, Sofia Rivera Torres, Karely Ruiz, and Mia Khalifa.
Dua Lipa, one of the trend’s leading figures, has shared photos on her social media accounts wearing a Hello Kitty two-piece bikini and a Patrick Star bikini. These eye-catching designs have attracted other celebrities, including Bella Thorne and Mia Khalifa, who have also purchased these stylish bikinis.
Bella Thorne, who first gained fame as a co-star on the Disney Channel series “Shake It Up” alongside Zendaya, has since relaunched her career on the adult platform OnlyFans. Within a week, she gained 50,000 subscribers and over 25.2 million followers.
Mia Khalifa, a retired adult film actress, model, and internet personality, has also embraced the nanokini trend. She recently shared a provocative photo wearing a nanokini featuring Patrick Star from the SpongeBob series on her chest and a pastel pink mini bottom.
Karely Ruiz, a prominent Monterrey, Nuevo Leon influencer, has also become a fan of the skimpy swimwear trend. With millions of Instagram followers, she often sports microbikinis, as seen in her recent post featuring a nanokini made from SpongeBob’s synthetic fabric.
