Los Angeles Sparks forward Cameron Brink criticised Enes Kanter Freedom over his campaign on transgender eligibility in the WNBA, calling the issue manufactured for attention.
Speaking to The Mirror US after Sparks practice, Brink said she viewed the debate as a “non-issue” and accused Freedom of using it for clicks, views and engagement while targeting the transgender community.
Brink also used a profanity-laced insult against the former NBA player, making her comments one of the strongest public responses from an active WNBA player.
Cameron Brink calls Enes Kanter Freedom "a stupid piece of shit" and says transgender players in the WNBA is a "non-issue."
"He's just trying to stay relevant."

No transgender women are currently playing in the WNBA, a point Brink used to argue that Freedom was promoting a controversy that does not presently affect competition.
The dispute intensified after Freedom attended Sunday’s Indiana Fever-Chicago Sky game at Wintrust Arena, where he had a verbal exchange with Natasha Cloud and was later escorted from the venue.
According to the source, the Chicago Sky subsequently barred Freedom from its home games, while the WNBA did not impose a league-wide ban.

Freedom had also announced plans to enter the 2027 WNBA Draft while claiming to identify as a woman, presenting the move as a challenge to the league’s eligibility rules.
