Security Measures and Sentencing

Recent threats have escalated concerns. The jail administration reported a threatening call, prompting heightened security measures. Officials have confirmed the receipt of this call on the jail’s official number.
Previously, both Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi received a 14-year sentence in the Toshakhana case. They were also fined Rs1,574 million and barred from public office for 10 years. Their right to cross-examine prosecution witnesses was closed after being asked to record statements under Section 342 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
