NEW YORK: Brad Pitt was seen drinking at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s July 3 wedding, Page Six reported, weeks before the actor confirmed that he had ended seven years of sobriety.
The 62-year-old attended the ceremony at Madison Square Garden with his girlfriend, Ines de Ramon. Some guests expressed surprise after noticing him drinking, Page Six reported, citing unnamed sources.
Pitt confirmed the change in an Esquire profile published on August 10. He said he had remained sober for seven years before going “back off the wagon.”
However, Pitt said he now drinks in a “more restrained manner.” He acknowledged becoming overconfident on several occasions and learning that consuming larger quantities was unsuitable for him.
The “F1” actor said he could have a few drinks but needed to remain disciplined. He did not say when he resumed drinking or connect the decision to the wedding.
Swift’s representative confirmed that the singer married Kansas City Chiefs tight end Kelce at Madison Square Garden. The July 3 ceremony brought together about 1,000 guests from the entertainment and sports industries.

Pitt stopped drinking in 2016 following his separation from actor Angelina Jolie. He later disclosed that he spent about 18 months attending a 12-step recovery program.
