Boxer Amir Khan meets army chief

British boxer of Pakistani origin Amir Khan on Monday met the Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif and expressed condolences over barbaric attack on children’s school in Peshawar.

The meeting took place at army’s General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.

During the meeting, Khan said he was highly grieved over the Peshawar incident and expressed his sympathies with the heirs of victims.

“I will extend my assistance to the victims in this testing time to the best of my resources,” said the world’s renowned boxer.

He also expressed solidarity with the armed forces.

The COAS, while speaking to Khan on the occasion, said the government will extend all-out cooperation to him help the victims.

Later, Amir Khan visited the Army Public School along with military commanders.

Speaking to media on the occasion, he strongly condemned the Taliban attack, saying it was inhumane to attack the innocent children.

He stressed the need to stop terrorism and praised the army for its resolve in fight against militancy.
