Quetta : At least one soldier was killed and five others injured in an explosion Turbat district of Balochistan on Friday.
According to security sources, the explosion occurred near a security forces’ vehicle in Kech Korandi area of Turbat. At least one soldier lost his life in the explosion while five others were injured.

Earlier today, security forces in the restive province’s Zhob district foiled a bid for a terrorist attack planned to disrupt Independence Day celebrations in the country.
Security sources said the search operation was carried out by the Frontier Corps (FC) personnel in Gawal Ismail Zai area of Zhob on intelligence reports.
Five suicide jackets, 25 explosive mines, 36 hand grenades, 24 rocket launchers and over 50 kilograms of explosive material was recovered in the operation, said the sources.
