GWADAR, Balochistan: BLA Coast Guard attack was claimed by the outlawed Baloch Liberation Army after an assault on a Pakistan Coast Guard camp in Panwan, Jiwani.
The group said in a statement issued Friday night that it carried out what it described as a suicide attack on the camp.
The BLA claimed more than 30 Pakistani security personnel were killed and dozens were injured. Pakistani authorities had not independently confirmed the casualty figures.
The attack targeted the Coast Guard’s camp in the evening hours of Friday, July 3. BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch claimed the operation involved the group’s Majeed Brigade and an explosive-laden vehicle.
The group also claimed a follow-up ground assault after the blast. The independent verification remained restricted due to security protocols and communication limitations in parts of Balochistan.

Early regional security and police briefings a lower toll, with at least three security personnel killed and 15 injured.
The Panwan camp is located near Jiwani in Gwadar district, a coastal area linked to key security and China-Pakistan Economic Corridor interests.
