Musician Bilal Maqsood will release “Pakkay Dost” Season 4 on YouTube on August 22, with new songs teaching children about exercise, nutrition, bones and animal welfare.
Maqsood announced the release in an Instagram reel shared through his account and the show’s account on Wednesday, August 12. Actor Syra Yousuf, who plays Mimi, also appeared in the video.
The musician said the new season would continue his effort to produce “healthy, wholesome” Urdu-language content that children find relevant. Songs will cover exercise, vegetables and the Urdu names of bones.
Kindness and compassion towards animals will form another theme. Maqsood encouraged parents to watch the programme with their children, saying he designed the material for both audiences.
The first three seasons contain more than 50 educational songs, Maqsood said. The programme focuses on helping children engage with Urdu and Pakistani culture.

Earlier collaborations with accessibility organisation ConnectHear and the Government of Sindh produced versions of the show in sign language and Sindhi. Existing episodes are available for free on YouTube.
