Norway, Colombia, Morocco, Brazil and Sweden completed the top 10 after the first round of group fixtures. Morocco ranked eighth after drawing 1-1 with Brazil, who followed in ninth.
Spain was placed 12th after a goalless draw with Cape Verde. Cape Verde ranked 17th after holding the former champions.

Portugal was ranked 21st after a 1-1 draw with DR Congo. Croatia dropped to 22nd after conceding four goals against England.
