On July 8, 2025, the Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BBISE) announced the Matric Annual Examination results, with a pass rate of 68.10%.

BBISE Chairman Muhammad Ishaq announced that 100,870 out of 148,114 students passed the 2025 Matric exams, achieving a pass rate of 68.10%. Aftab Alam from Balochistan Residential College topped with 1,051 marks, followed by Muhammad Hashir (1,043) and Muhammad Tufail and Saqib Ali (1,038) sharing third.

Balochistan’s results, announced after the February 20, 2025, exams, reflect efforts to improve education despite infrastructure challenges, per UrduPoint. Sindh’s online verification, part of IBCC’s reforms, aims to curb fraud, with 10,000 verifications processed annually. The shift, amid concerns about Karachi’s safety, supports the trust of 220 million citizens in education.

In related news, the Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) has transitioned the verification of Sindh’s matriculation and intermediate certificates to an online system, eliminating the need for sealed envelope submissions. The Karachi, Sukkur, and Ziauddin Boards are now connected to the IBCC platform, while other boards are encouraged to digitise their records.

The new system utilises secure verification stickers to enhance transparency. Additionally, it coincides with a new grading system for the 2025 exams, which will raise the passing marks to 40%.
