Lahore: A teenage cricket fan breached security at Gaddafi Stadium during the first Test match between Pakistan and South Africa, attempting to meet Pakistan’s star batter Babar Azam on his 31st birthday.

A viral video circulating on social media shows the young fan climbing through the Majid Khan Enclosure and moving past the stands toward the players’ balcony, located just outside the dressing room.

According to eyewitnesses, members of Pakistan’s coaching staff spotted the boy as he approached the team area and immediately alerted stadium security. Despite the teenager’s repeated requests to meet Babar Azam, security officials quickly detained and escorted him away from the restricted area to ensure player safety. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has not yet released an official statement regarding the incident.

Interestingly, the security breach occurred on October 15, the same day as Babar Azam’s birthday, adding an emotional angle to the event. The fan’s bold attempt reflects the immense admiration Pakistan’s cricket supporters hold for their captain and modern batting icon
