Rawalpindi: Model Ayyan Ali appeared in customs court on Friday but could not be indicted as the charge sheet against her was incomplete.
The customs court judge Rana Aftab heard the currency smuggling case against Ayyan Ali. In his arguments, Ayyan lawyer said custom officials investigating the case had issued arrest warrants for witnesses, property dealer Mumtaz and the plot buyer Muhammad Owais. Customs officials said the warrants were issued over the failure of witnesses to appear in court.
The court directed custom officials to present the complete charge sheet against Ayyan and record statements of both witnesses by September 04 when the hearing is held again.
