Gujrat: Awam Express accident was averted on Saturday after the Peshawar-bound train from Karachi suffered a rear bogie derailment near Rakh Pabbi, railway sources said.
The sources said the driver acted promptly and kept the train on track, preventing a major accident.

No loss of life or injuries were reported in the incident, according to the railway sources cited in the brief. Railway authorities inspected the train after the derailment and allowed it to continue its journey.
However, officials repaired the derailed bogie before reattaching it for service. Pakistan Railways officials launched a further investigation to determine the cause of the derailment.
