Australia scored an astonishing 113/1 in the Powerplay, setting a new record for the highest Powerplay score in T20Is. Travis Head led the charge, scoring 73 runs in the Powerplay, the most by any batter in this phase.

Head smashed 80 off 25 balls, blasting five sixes and 12 fours, as Australia cruised to victory in Edinburgh within 10 overs. Despite losing Jake Fraser-McGurk for a three-ball duck, Head and captain Mitchell Marsh dominated the Scottish bowling attack. Marsh smashed 30 runs in one over from Jack Jarvis, while Head reached his half-century in just 17 balls.
Both fell to Mark Watt in the seventh over, but Australia was already on the brink of victory. Wicketkeeper Josh Inglis contributed an unbeaten 27, guiding Australia to a seven-wicket win with 62 balls remaining.
Earlier, Scotland’s George Munsey top-scored with 28 runs, while Sean Abbott was the standout bowler for Australia, taking three wickets for 39 runs. The final score saw Scotland at 154/9 in 20 overs and Australia finishing at 156/3 in just 9.4 overs, securing a comprehensive victory.
