ANKARA, Türkiye: Asim Munir’s visit to Turkiye began Monday as Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces arrived for a two-day official trip, state media reported.
PTV News reported that Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir received a warm welcome from Turkish authorities on arrival.
Radio Pakistan reported that Field Marshal Munir will hold meetings with Türkiye’s military and political leadership during the visit. The talks will cover matters of mutual interest.
Business Recorder also reported that the visit would include high-level meetings with Turkish political and military officials, according to PTV News.
The visit follows last month’s trip to Pakistan by Commander of the Turkish Land Forces General Metin Tokel. He met Field Marshal Munir at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.
During that meeting, both sides discussed professional matters, regional security dynamics and ways to strengthen bilateral defence cooperation, according to Pakistan Today.

General Tokel also met the Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, at Air Headquarters in Islamabad. Both sides discussed military cooperation and institutional linkages.
