WAH, Punjab: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir reviewed POF production capabilities, export potential and indigenisation efforts during a visit to the defence industrial complex in Wah.
Munir, the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, was briefed on POF’s role in the local development and production of military equipment for Pakistan’s defence requirements.
During the visit, he witnessed tests and trials of locally designed and manufactured arms and ammunition.
Officials also briefed Munir on progress in the corporatisation process following the enactment of the DIPRA Ordinance.
The briefing covered ongoing indigenisation and modernisation work, including the installation of two new industrial plants.
According to the statement, the plants are expected to begin production by the end of the current year.

The visit also focused on POF’s export potential and efforts to expand domestic defence manufacturing and technological capabilities.
