Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA Asad Umar grilled his brother and Chairman of Privatization Commission Mohammad Zubair Khan over the privatization of Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) during a meeting of National Assembly’s Standing Committee.

A video footage taken from a mobile camera shown on local news channel ‘Samaa News’ witnessed that Asad Umar lambasted his brother Zubair Umar over privatization of  PSM .

The footage also shows exchange of  words between Asad Umar his brother Muhammad Zubair .

The Privatization Commission blamed lack of funds for his government’s failure to revive the mills’ fortunes.

He said that a proposal was under consideration to lease out the steel mills on a long-term basis, maintaining it was still a better option than privatization.

He said that the government would make a final decision until January 20.

Asad Umar referred to the term of Pervez Musharraf when Steel Mill was making profits. On this Mohammad Zubair objected, leading to a war of words between two brothers.

Asad Umar stopped his brother from interrupting the committee’ meeting and asked him to leave if he wanted so.

“The mill remains closed for a year now as the government has wasted three and a half year,” he said
