Karachi, Sindh: Police have identified seven more suspects in the Anmol Pinky drug case and declared them absconders in a report submitted to the court.

The report said Anmol alias Pinky was arrested on May 12 during a law-enforcement operation linked to narcotics and an unlicensed weapon case. Moreover, local media said police had earlier produced her before a Karachi court in multiple cases.

Investigators told the court that three alleged facilitators had already been arrested. The suspects were identified as Zeeshan, Sohail and Sameer.

Police named the absconding suspects as Fayyaz, Aqib, Hamza, Aijaz, Zaid and two women, Sabira and Aina. Investigators said the seven were close associates of the accused.

Police said efforts were underway to trace and arrest the suspects. Authorities have not disclosed their alleged roles or the full scope of the narcotics network under investigation.

Karachi court had granted police physical remand of Anmol alias Pinky in a drug case. Investigators had sought custody for further questioning.

In May, Karachi Additional Inspector General Azad Khan said police had found foreign links in Anmol’s alleged drug network. Therefore, they were conducting raids to arrest accomplices.
