GILGIT: Amjad Hussain Advocate, who takes oath as Gilgit-Baltistan chief minister at Chinar Bagh, with Governor Syed Mehdi Shah set to lead the ceremony.
Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also reached Gilgit-Baltistan to attend the swearing-in ceremony.
The ceremony was originally scheduled for July 1 but was postponed after Bilawal travelled to Iran to attend a funeral service.
Hussain was elected unopposed as Leader of the House in the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly on June 22, as no other candidate filed nomination papers against him.
Senior political leaders, government officials, members of the GB Assembly and party workers are expected to attend the oath-taking ceremony.
Bilawal is also expected to discuss and decide the composition of the new Gilgit-Baltistan cabinet during his visit.
The Pakistan Peoples Party has decided to include the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party in the government after the party supported its chief minister candidate. The two sides had agreed to allocate three ministries to the IPP.

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz also supported the PPP candidate under an understanding reached by the central leaderships of both parties.
Under the arrangement, the deputy speaker has been chosen from PML-N, while the party is also expected to receive the governor’s post and the opposition leader slot in the GB Assembly.
In a separate development, the GB Supreme Appellate Court ordered re-polling at Loshi Polling Station in GBA-15 Diamer and eight polling stations in GBA-17 Diamer.
