MIRPUR: AJK election results showed the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) each winning two of four reported constituencies, according to unofficial figures.
PML-N secured LA-7 Bhimber-III and LA-9 Kotli-II, while PPP won LA-2 Mirpur-II and LA-3 Mirpur-III.
In LA-7, PML-N candidate Chaudhry Tariq Farooq defeated former AJK prime minister Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq. Farooq received 35,287 votes, while the independent candidate secured 24,997.
PML-N candidate Umair Naeem won LA-9 Kotli-II, also known as Nakyal, with 31,080 votes, according to the provisional figures provided in the source.
In LA-3 Mirpur-III, PPP candidate Chaudhry Yasir Sultan secured 11,676 votes. PML-N candidate Chaudhry Muhammad Saeed finished second with 9,832.

PPP’s Chaudhry Qasim Majeed won LA-2 Mirpur-II, or Chakswari, with 12,952 votes. PML-N candidate Azeem Bakhsh Chaudhry received 8,182 votes.
Voters cast ballots on July 27 during the first phase of the 2026 AJK Legislative Assembly elections. Polling covered 13 constituencies across Mirpur, Bhimber and Kotli.
All four results remained unofficial and unconfirmed pending certification by the AJK Election Commission. Published media tallies contained minor differences in some vote totals as counting progressed.
