Abdullah Shafique’s century carried Pakistan to 333-6 at lunch on Day 3 of the second Test in Port of Spain, leaving the tourists 11 runs behind West Indies.

Pakistan resumed at 266-2 after the West Indies scored 344 in their first innings. Shafique began the day on 107, while captain Babar Azam was unbeaten on 86.

Babar added two runs before a mix-up with Shafique led to his dismissal for 88. Brandon King completed the run-out with a direct hit during the ninth over of the morning session.

Pakistan then lost debutant Muhammad Awais Zafar and Salman Ali Agha in quick succession. Jomel Warrican removed Awais, while Shamar Joseph dismissed Salman.

Mohammad Rizwan made 18 before Warrican bowled him. Shafique and Sajid Khan then added an unbeaten 22 runs, with Sajid reaching lunch on 16.

Shafique remained unbeaten on 132 as Pakistan completed 95 overs. Warrican led the West Indies attack with 3-103 from 39 overs, while Joseph took 2-68 from 13 overs.

The match at Queen’s Park Oval is the second of the two-Test series and forms part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025-27.
