The Pakistan Rangers Sindh earlier today interrogated Abdul Qadir Patel in Karachi.
He is a senior Pakistan People’s Party leader, regarding his alleged role in gangland violence, land encroachment and corruption.
According to the popular news channel ‘Geo News’, Patel was grilled at the headquarters of the Paramilitary force for five hours before being taken to an undisclosed location. Sources told the Rangers is expected to seek 90-day remand of the PPP leader.
The sources further said notorious gangster and former chief of banned People’s Amman Committee Uzair Jan Baloch was also present during the interrogation, adding that Patel disclosed he was able to secure PPP ticket for a Sindh Assembly seat due to Baloch.
