Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Imran Khan along with his new wife Reham Khan  visited the Army Public School earlier today.

Parents of the martyred school children staged a protest outside the school on his arrival, shouting ‘Go Imran Go’ slogans.

These parents were of the view that politicians were visiting the school just to gain ‘political mileage’ and  Khan is there for the media and not for them. Khan was also criticized for delaying his visit to the school.

The enraged protesters lambasted Khan for getting married rather than probing into the Peshawar carnage. and explicitly declared him unworthy of being vested with the authority to govern the province.

Police acted with alacrity  to clear the way for Imran’s entourage.

On the  January 12, 2015, COAS Gen Raheel Sharif  and his wife welcomed the returning children and attended the school assembly and were warmly welcomed by the parents of the shaheeds as well as the returning children.
