Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah on Friday has extended the Rangers period of stay for another one year.
A spokesman for the Sindh government told the local news channels that the extension has been given under Article 147.
According to sources the PPP Co-Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Asif Ali Zardari had directed CM Sindh to extend the Rangers period of stay which was set to expire on 18 July 2015.
Earlier this month the provincial government approved an extension in the special powers of Rangers under Section-4 of the Anti Terrorism Act 1997 for 30 days.
