At least three terrorists were killed and as many captured during an armed encounter with personnel of Crime Investigation Department (CID) of the Sindh Police in Karachi late night yesterday.
CID Sindh chief Khurram Waris said the miscreants were planning to mount an attack on a school.
“Three miscreants were captured in injured state following the encounter,” he added..
The deceased have been identified as Gul Pir Khan, Noor Alam and Ameer Muhammed, according to the police official. He said the terrorists were involved in numerous criminal activities in Karachi and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
An attack on Army Public School Peshawar is widely considered to be the worst terror attack in the country.
The clash took place in Gulshan-e-Maymar.
