A spokesman for the Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jamat (ASWJ) was shot dead by unknown attackers in Rawalpindi on Sunday morning
The ASWJ confirmed the death of the Rawalpindi spokesperson Mazhar Siddiqui.
According to ASWJ, Siddiqui was traveling in a car near Rawalpindi’s Pirodhai Mor area when gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire on his vehicle.
Siddiqui succumbed to his wounds while another person was severely injured in the gun attack.
Earlier, ASWJ leader Maulana Aurangzeb Farooqui’s car was attacked by unidentified assailants in Karachi mid Saturday night. However, Aurangzeb escaped unhurt from the attack but three of his guards were injured in the firing incident.
