According to the press statement issued by Mirza, he has sought the support of well-wishers and friends to form the party and put an end to ‘corruption’ in Sindh.
The party will garner support in all provinces of Pakistan, announced Mirza, adding that it will function on the principles of Benazir Bhutto and Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. The former PPP leader said that he had pinned his hopes on Bilawal Bhutto Zardari that the latter would free the party from corrupt elements.
Dr Mirza’s son, Hasnain Mirza, is an elected MPA on a PPP ticket while his wife, Dr Fehmida Mirza, is an elected PPP MNA. Dr Mirza has, however, fielded his own candidates against the PPP in his home constituency, Badin, for the upcoming local bodies elections.
He has also reached out to former chief minister Arbab Ghulam Rahim to jointly field candidates in other constituencies against the PPP.
