The Ministry of Religious Affairs said 262 Ziyarat Group Organizers have been registered under the new Ziyarat Management Policy for Pakistani pilgrims travelling to Iran and Iraq.
The ministry said the update came during a review meeting chaired by the Secretary for Religious Affairs to assess implementation of the policy.
According to the ministry spokesperson, representatives from the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Communications, the Civil Aviation Authority and other departments attended the meeting.
Participants reaffirmed the federal government’s commitment to facilitating Pakistani pilgrims travelling abroad for religious visits.

The Civil Aviation Authority and airlines were directed to provide all possible facilities for pilgrims using air travel.
The ministry advised intending pilgrims to book Iran and Iraq Ziyarat travel only through registered Ziyarat Group Organisers.
It also urged pilgrims to verify the licences of organisers on the Ministry of Religious Affairs’ official website before making bookings. The ministry said it will not be responsible for bookings made through unauthorised individuals or companies.
