A well-known YouTuber from Oregon, Paul Harrell, announced his death in a poignant video titled “I’m dead,” leaving his 1.15 million subscribers in shock. Harrell, aged 58, pre-recorded the message, which his family released after he passed away on a recent Tuesday.
In the video, Harrell is seen sitting on a log in a forest, a significant location where he previously shared his stage 2 pancreatic cancer diagnosis with his audience. “If you’re looking at me, I’m dead,” he solemnly declared in the footage recorded on December 20, 2023.
Harrell, an outspoken gun rights advocate, regretted not fulfilling his goal to produce content for many more years. “I had hoped to continue in this format for the next 10 or even 15 years… but it was only a few more months. I apologize for that. It makes me feel like I’ve let everyone down,” he confessed.
Despite earlier assurances that his cancer had been detected early and expectations to remain active for years, Harrell disclosed a more dire health struggle. He mentioned using crutches due to a hip fracture caused by cancer spreading to his bones.
Harrell’s brother will take over the YouTube channel, continuing to focus on content for gun advocates that is in line with the United States Constitution.
