XChat Android pre-registration has opened on the Google Play Store, signalling a planned launch of the private messaging app for Android users.
XChat announced the Android move in a post on X and directed users to pre-register through Google Play. The app is described as a private space for conversations with people already connected through a user’s X account.
The listing says XChat offers no ads, no tracking and full end-to-end encryption. It says users can sign in with their X account without sending invites or exchanging phone numbers.
According to XChat, each message uses a key pair unique to the user and is protected by a PIN that remains on the device.
The Google Play data safety section says the app may share app information and performance data, including crash logs. It also says XChat may collect files and documents, audio, device identifiers, personal information, app activity, in-app messages, photos and videos.
