Despite the interim Punjab government’s “threat alert” that terrorists may target political gatherings in Lahore, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) jalsa is underway at the Minar-e-Pakistan ground.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan, who was dismissed as prime minister in April last year and is implicated in dozens of lawsuits, has arrived at the location and will address the gathering from a bulletproof container at the jalsa ground for security.
