Cricket legend Wasim Akram said the appointment of his pace partner Waqar Younis as head coach of national team would benefit Pakistan.
Talking to the media Wasim reckoned Waqar’s appointment as head coach was a great step for Pakistan cricket, noting it would certainly benefit the team that would feature in next year’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
Waqar had always been an inspiration for youngsters and was one of the best cricketers Pakistan had produced, Wasim stressed.
