Pakistan’s Muhammad Waseem, World Boxing Council (WBC) Silver Flyweight champion, is all set to face Philippines’ Giemel Magramo on November 27.
Waseem’s agent Andy Kim while talking to media said that Waseem will land in South Korea on November 17.
Kim also revealed that Waseem, ranked 65th in the world, plans to challenge Román “Chocolatito” Gonzalez for the WBC Super Flyweight crown and therefore needs to build his profile before taking on the reigning world champion.
Waseem, who won the silver flyweight crown in just his fourth professional fight, has enjoyed a stellar career since becoming a professional boxer in 2015 and Kim is certain the 29-year-old will give a tough fight to a better-ranked opponent in Magramo.
Magramo, who is ranked 14th in the world and is undefeated in WBC bouts having won all of his 17 bouts, fits the bill and despite the Filipino having knocked out his opponents 13 times out of 17, Kim believes it will be Waseem knocking Magramo out this time.
“The fight against Magramo will certainly be a battle but we will most likely see Waseem knocking him out in the sixth or seventh round,” he said.
